Why informing about your production plan can make or break your PCB production!
A recommendation from Josse, one of our Senior Technical Advisors.
Customers asking for a specific stackup must, in addition to the necessary technical input to calculate and set up a stackup with impedances, also state what is the production plan for the PCB in question.
Why is this important?
This is especially important in order for us to be able to choose the right manufacturer to handle future production.
To explain, I will give you an example.
Let’s say you have a PCB demand of 5 boards/year, holding back this vital information, and your stack up might end up locked to a manufacturer that requires a MOQ of 1000 boards on a yearly basis. Not a good solution.
In our Technical Department we often see this issue. This is why we always encourage all our Country Managers to obtain this information.
When information is presented at first contact, we all save time and avoid mistakes.
