Latest update from Evertiq Gothenburg

Mikael Jansson and Jan Persson at Evertiq Expo
Last week we participated at the first Evertiq event, post COVID. Such a joy to meet fellow industry partners. The main topic, the current component situation, is causing disruptions in the supply chains and discussions around the coffee machines.

“The story repeats itself, talking to industry partners at the Evertiq fair in Gothenburg this week, the component situation is dominating the dialogue. All seems to struggle with the same challenge, lack of and delayed delivery of components, causing disruptions in the supply chain”, says Country Manager Sweden Mikael Jansson.

As a trusted broker of PCB we have in the last year assisted customers in redesign of their printed circuits, in attempts to avoid the component situation.

“Many of the OEMs I talked to in Gothenburg reported the same: the amount of redesign to fit available components has increased. It seems that components barely enter the storage spaces before being shipped out, and product leaders vacuum the market for available components. Some seem to fear an component overproduction, however, the shortage is , by many, expected to last until the first quarter of 2023, says Jansson”

The Evertiq fair has been postponed several times, the joy of meeting face to face and catching up on business and personal changes was, according to Jansson, euphoric.

“Business can be well taken care of on Teams, HangOut and Zoom, however, it can never replace the human dimension of meeting face to face exchanging information and ideas”, says Jansson.

Several exhibitors and visitors had found their way to Gothenburg this week for discussions, knowledge sharing and meetings, next one up it Evertiq Expo in Warsaw, where we will be present with colleagues from Poland, so make sure to stop by our stand for a chat or some PCB advice.
