Please contact your local Sales Manager at Elmatica, and start planning ahead already.
We will do our very best to support you and reduce the impact of this external factor. We are taking precautions together with our trusted manufacturers in China.
The most notable dates of the Chinese Lunar New Year 2022 are these three days:
New Year’s Eve on January 31st, 2022
New Year’s Day on February 1st, 2022
The Lantern Festival on February 15th, 2022
However, there are some proactive factors we encourage all our customers to look into:
- The lead time might increase with +2 weeks, so prioritizing your PCB orders might be a good idea.
- Talk to your Elmatica contact, and plan your production before/after CNY.
- For orders applicable for QTA, Elmatica will help source out suitable manufacturers.
2022 is a Year of the Tiger according to the Chinese zodiac, starting from February 1st, 2022, and lasting until January 21th, 2023.
People born in a year of the Tiger are predicted to be brave, competitive, unpredictable, and confident. They will experience their zodiac birth sign year (benmingnian) in 2022, which is considered bad luck.
About Chinese New Year
The Chinese New Year is defined to be the first day of the first month in the traditional Chinese calendar. Unlike the Christian New Year, which is based on a solar calendar, the Chinese New Year is based on a traditional Chinese lunisolar calendar whose date indicates both the moon phase and the time of the solar year.
